Never in a million years would I believe I would need home health care this early in our lives together.
Dean, my husband experienced a traumatic brain injury mid June 2020. He spent a year in multiple hospitals trying to rehab. It became clear the rehab had reached it’s best out come. We were able to make space for him to come home and start our new way of life. I have had zero healthcare experience at this point. We had the opportunity to have a few nurses, come through and share their knowledge to help me be more effective and efficient for Dean’s sake. I have to give a shout out to Shaunna Hill. Shaunna has made some of these crazy times easier. She has the knowledge to help me learn new ways of caring for Dean. She shares her knowledge of meds to help me understand why its given , its effects and benefits to expect.
Shaunna is professional everything she is here. She is a great educator and challenges us to keep trying and looking for ways to help Dean be the best he can be mentally and physically. I know her goal is the same as mine, keep Dean home and out of the hospital, and she asks me how I am and listens to concerns and follows through if needed. We are very blessed to have an amazing nurse on our side. We would be lost without her. We love her and Dean is comfortable with her, and that means the world to me. A million thanks for having such a great person as part of your staff.
